常春藤解析英語

這個月買了人生的第一本英文雜誌，常春藤解析英語2月刊，裡面所列出的文法解析相當實用，可以先看中文句子，思考英文該如何表達，卡住了再看文中的描述方法，就會有很大收穫，由於是思考過的，也可以留在腦中久一點。

最近看了常春藤解析英語雜誌中有個例句如下

A balanced diet is essential to the healthy.

看到了balanced就想到了balancing，兩者皆是形容詞，

為啥這句並沒有使用balancing呢？

後來google了一下，發現過去分詞有被動的意思(已完成)，現在分詞則有主動的意思(持續性)，

思考後，發現兩者修飾diet的意思不完全相同，

balanced diet:平衡好的食物

balancing diet:令人平衡的食物

如果以我的觀點來看，這個例子兩者皆可。

1. The physical affection that was once so attractive is now smothering.
2. What was once a wonderful sense of humor is now seen as an inability to takes thing seriously.
was once 對稱於 is now

1. I take ever greater comfort from having a sibling — my sister.
2. I ever take greater comfort from having a sibling — my sister.

假設語氣(2008年2月25日星期一)

現在：If S + Vp ... , S + 語助Vp + V
過去：If S + had + Vpp, S + 語助Vp + had + Vpp
未來：If S + 語助Vp + V, S + 語助Vp + V

傻傻分不清楚(2008-2-24)

名詞子句的簡化即為動名詞。
現在分詞有"一直、正在"的內涵意思，
過去分詞有"已經如何如何"的內涵意思，
兩個分詞皆為形容詞。

附屬子句：名詞子句、形容詞子句、副詞子句。
三者皆可進行減化。
